My Dad, John Wears, played xylophone solos with the Kettering Citadel Band for over 30 years. Recently he made a comeback as guest soloist with Gawthorpe Brass '85 at their spring concert. Here he is playing "Snowflakes".
From time to time I play with the Northern Society Jazz Orchestra. This is
a band worth hearing, run by Dave Thompson, who has a vast library of 1920s/1930s
music. This is their rendition of "I'm a Ding
dong daddy from Dumus".

This is my home entertainment system. I have a lot of old Jazz 78's, but I'd like to share this recording of Kettering Citadel Band in the late 1950s. On this recording my Granddad Wears is playing G Trombone and my Granddad Welsh is on Eb bass.

This is my 1927 Weber Pianola. Have a listen to "Paddlin' Madelin' Home". The humming sound is from the electric motor, but it still pedals well. I can use it as a musical exercise bike!
