In Hiroshima, John Hagelin Offers A New Peace Technology To Safeguard Civilization From The Horrors Of War
(HIROSHIMA, JAPAN) As the world
again begins to think the unthinkable—the possibility of nuclear
conflagration—Dr. John Hagelin joined other renowned quantum physicists in Hiroshima,
a city ravaged by the atomic bomb, to offer government leaders throughout the world a
practical formula to safeguard civilization from weapons of mass destruction.
Dr. Hagelin delivered the keynote address at an historic “International Symposium on World Peace” hosted by the Government of Hiroshima on April 6.
“Sixty years ago, Albert Einstein brought to the attention of President Roosevelt the scientific knowledge of the nuclear force, whose vast destructive power was unleashed on the citizens of Hiroshima,” said Dr. Hagelin. “Since that time, the whole world has lived under constant threat of nuclear holocaust.”
Dr. Taizo Muta, the President of Hiroshima University and himself a prominent quantum physicist in Japan, introduced Dr. Hagelin as “possibly the world’s foremost unified field theorist, whose work I have followed very closely.”

A New Generation of Knowledge
“Today, in this very city, where the memory of the horrors of nuclear conflagration looms large, a new generation of scientists is bringing a new generation of knowledge—the scientific knowledge of the unified field,” said Dr. Hagelin. “This knowledge will safeguard civilization against the destructive power of all prior, barbaric technologies based upon partial knowledge of natural law.”
Dr. Hagelin presented the discovery by modern physics of the deepest structure of natural law—the "unified field—and its fundamental identity to the field of “pure consciousness” at the foundation of human experience. He then explained the mechanics of a new technology for peace—the Invincible Defense Technology, which makes use of long-range, field effects of consciousness to create a measurable influence of peace throughout society. Dr. Hagelin also presented the published scientific research showing dramatic reductions in war and global terrorism that have resulted from the application of this technology.

Global Association of Scientists for Peace
At the culmination of the Hiroshima symposium, Dr. Hagelin announced the formation of a worldwide alliance of scientists called the Global Association of Scientists for Peace.
“It is of vital importance to the future of our world that this global association of leading scientists is bringing the knowledge of total natural law—the unified field—to prevent a recurrence of the devastation that befell this city, and to create lasting affluence and peace on Earth,” Dr. Hagelin said.
Enthusiastic Response
Response to the Dr. Hagelin’s presentation was immediate and enthusiastic. Messages of congratulations poured in from Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, and mayors all across Japan.
Following the symposium, Dr. Hagelin met individually with 13 top Members of the Japanese Parliament and was very gratified by their deep understanding of the principles of his proposal and their receptivity to it. One of the main topics of these meetings was the creation of a special “prevention wing” within the Self-Defense Force of Japan to be trained in the Invincible Defense Technology. Japan’s Self-Defense Force, comprising 260,000 troops, is constitutionally forbidden from engaging in military offensives, but until now, has lacked any truly defensive technology that could enable it to defend the nation.
“These truly defensive, nondestructive, scientifically proven technologies of peace will not only secure the safety, security and invincibility of Japan, but will make Japan a lighthouse of peace and coherence for the whole world,” Dr. Hagelin explained.

Dr. Hagelin also visited the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum, established at Ground Zero of the world’s first nuclear attack. He called the experience “overwhelming” and commented, “Every political leader with access to nuclear weapons should be required to visit this museum. Even as a nuclear physicist, I was overwhelmed to see the extent of death and destruction that these weapons have caused.

Dr John Hagelin
Dr. Hagelin is a world authority in the area of unified quantum field theories. His scientific contributions in the fields of particle physics and cosmology include some of the most cited references in the physical sciences. He is co-developer of what is now considered the leading contender for a grand unified field theory, known as Supersymmetric Flipped SU(5).
