Only one caravan in this CL - Mine! As a user of CLs, here is a list of some of the things I look for in a website when trying to decide where to stay. You have lots of space, so use it to sell yourself to me - and others. This is just to give you some ideas of content - the content of your website is up to you.

Probably the most important feature of a website is pictures of your CL.  If you have an aerial photograph, this would be ideal but it needs to be quite detailed.

I would like to know what features are available. This should have the details as in the Caravan Club Handbook, but should be expanded to give extra information - for example 'part sloping, but there are plenty planks around for levelling'; 'hard ground - rock pegs required for awnings'.

You should also specify any restrictions, for example no groundsheets.

What are your prices this year (sometimes the information in the Handbook is not up to date) and please specify which year in case the page is not updated next year. Children's play area

What shops are around, and how far away are they? Do you have a farm shop, and what does it sell? Where are the nearest butchers, bakers, greengrocers and/or supermarket? Is there a cycle hire shop nearby?

Is there a pub in walking distance? Mine is The Douglas Bader Are the locals friendly?  Can you recommend any local restaurants or take aways?

What are the local attractions, and how far away are they?  Better still, give the links to their websites.

Are there any public footpaths convenient for circular walks?

Does your local town or village have its own website?  Give a link to that as well - like www.martlesham.org.uk.

Village green, pub, butcher, baker, newsagent, convenience store 5 minutes away by footpath Directions - as in the handbook, but there is room to expand this if required. It also helps to write in English, rather than the abbreviations in the book!

I'll include a link to a map showing your grid reference as in the Handbook like multimap map of location

Does this site have all the information you need to decide whether to visit? If there is anything else you would like to see, please let me know and I'll include it in the advice to CL owners. E-mail to Ken Odam, who designed this website.
