13. Edwin James Stone⁴ Townsend (James Davis³, Henry², John¹) was born Trowbridge Wiltshire 31st October 1840. Edwin died 16th March 1896 33 Glebe Place, S Chelsea, at 55 years of age. His body was interred 20th March 1896 Brompton Cemetery.

He married Emma Eliza Stapleton St Lukes Chelsea London, 13th July 1863. Emma was born Fineshade, Northamptonshire 1843. Emma was the daughter of John Stapleton and Lucy Stanger.

Edwin James Stone Townsend and Emma Eliza Stapleton had the following children:

+ 48 i. Edwin⁵ Townsend was born c1864.

49 ii. Annie Townsend was born Oakham, Rutland c 1866. She married ? Rheinhart. (See ? Rheinhart for the continuation of this line.)

50 iii. Emma Eliza Townsend was born Oakham Rutland 1867.

51 iv. Louisa Caroline Townsend was born Chelsea March 1872. Louisa died 1935 SevenKings, at 63 years of age. Her body was interred 1935 City of London Cemetery. She married Thomas Davis Fulham, June 1899. Thomas was born No 10 Ranelagh Grove, Belgrave, Middx 10th March 1876. Thomas was the son of Thomas Davis and Annie Rossiter. Thomas died 1949/50 at 74 years of age. His body was interred Elstead, Surrey. (See Thomas Davis for the continuation of this line.)

+ 52 v. Fredrick Henry Townsend was born 26th December 1872.

53 vi. John Stapleton Townsend was born Chelsea 1st July 1875. John died 26th October 1900 138 Florence Road, Wimbledon, at 25 years of age. His body was interred 1900 Brompton Cemetery.

+ 54 vii. James William Townsend was born September 1878.

55 viii. Agnes Townsend was born Chelsea 1880. Agnes died 1882? Chelsea?, at 2 years of age.
