The strength of the division was approximately 17,500 officers and enlisted men.

Within army troops and occasionally corps troops there are a number of troop carrying companies of the R.A.S.C. Each RASC Company capable of carrying one infantry brigade.

Battalions

Rifle Battalion.

The rifle battalion was based on the Bren .303 light machine gun. The war strength is 33 officers and 753 enlisted men, and has motorized transport. The battalion has a Headquarters, a Headquarters company, and 4 Rifle companies.
