WHATS NEW

The New Logbook
Following discussions between, the RCOphth, the Ophthalmic Trainee's Group, David Wong and Bill Newman, it has been agreed to change the format of the surgical logbook software.

Why do we need a new surgical logbook?
1.     To comply with Data Protection Act.  The old logbook contained patients’ names and operations etc.
2.     The current curriculum requires a record of attendance at Special Clinics.
3.     The current curriculum requires a continuous audit of cataract complications.

What does the College Training Committee require as evidence of training?
This is summarised ion the College Requirement page.
You may find the "How To Do It Version 1.0" page useful in printing the information from your logbook.
The help files for version 2.0 are found as part of the logbook download in the form of a pdf file.
