Stable Cottage is the home of Sue Bucknall. It is situated at the foot of Will's Neck, at Triscombe in the beautiful Quantock Hills about 10 miles from Taunton in Somerset. It has wonderful views across the south facing slopes of the Quantocks, and southwards to the Brendon Hills with Exmoor beyond, and eastwards across the Vale of Taunton Deane to the Blackdown Hills.

It was built around the turn of the 20th century as stables for Triscombe House which lies about a quarter mile away across the fields. The extensive building houses not only the living quarters but tea rooms including a new conservatory, a dining room known as “The Tack Room”, holiday accommodation which is available for rental, and the original stables in which you may still find a horse or two. There are also spacious landscaped gardens which are used for serving teas in Summer.

Stable Cottage is very popular with both locals and visitors alike, and has built an enviable reputation for excellent food and service. Whether you come for Afternoon Tea, or a private function, you're certain of a unique experience, so do pay us a visit.
