The Silent, hoarfrost cold of winter creates an
atmosphere in which you can work to reach your highest potential. January's
Cold Moon is the perfect time to put the freeze on all your less-than desirable
habits, anger, resentment, criticism, guilt, substance-abuse, and other
addictive behaviour. Make a New Year's resolution this year to eliminate
actions that cause more harm than good, and use this simple ritual to freeze
your problems.
Gather your ritual tool's, a white candle, Zip-lock
freezer bag, pen pitcher of water, and a sheet of white paper. Ask your Gods,
goddesses, and guiding spirits for assistance with your purpose. Write down all
your negative behaviour, nine times each, on the paper. Fill the bag with
enough prayer water to saturate and cover the paper. Put the bag in your
freezer, say goodbye to your bad habits, and thank all for helping you.

place. Become aware of the gravity pulling your body down like a magnet, while
simultaneously feeling the Sun's heat filling you with fiery energy from above.
When you feel that your body is filled to overflowing with vital force, sit or
stand up. Use your powers of imagination to step out of your body and face
yourself. Reaching forward with spirit hands, begin to shape and mold your body
into the spirit you feel you truely are. You may become whatever creature or
thing that best exemplifies your self image Celtic goddess, an Indian warrior,
or an animal form. Remember to include all the qualities of the spirit you are
taking on, physical, motional, mental, and spiritual. When you are finished, mentally have your spirit self step back into your new body. Now, dance your new
spirit under the Strong Sun moon. Howl, sing, soar, jump, or buck. Dance until
your spirit body is finished dancing.

the dead, release your sad memories and put your grief to rest.

a setback, or feel that a portion of yourself has died.
