The Work Party is concentrating on BATCOMBE from August 2004 to August 2005
Every year Mendip Ramblers' Association concentrates on opening up paths in a particular area. The year's work culminates in a Walking Festival held over the August Bank Holiday. Every day over this three day holiday period there are three different walks available, all led by regular work party members. These walks vary in length from 5 miles to 10 miles and highlight the extensive work we have carried out.

Shown below are a series of photographs taken during work parties. Bob Berry organises all the work with the regular weekly team of Colin, Rick, Dave O, Owen . Many others such as Dave W, Doug, Derek and Trevor also help regularly.

So what's so funny about putting this stile near this tree.... Owen dug the holes through roots

We do bridges too

Up a bit with the wire Rick

Re-using an old stile

Slow down Colin -- the next job is to clear that 200m of overgrown path

Emily agrees we need a double stile straight through the hedge

Rick the hole digger

Rain coming -- let's finish after lunch!

Colin we've finished here
