First hint:

• In the episode 'Faultline' - when the relief is assembled in the briefing room and Ben and Dave are missing. Their whereabouts are enquired by Sergeant Boyden with the reply from Smithy that Ben's still in the locker room:
  "Probably doing his hair."

  Ben then appears in the door, apologising for being late, with a slight movement towards the side of his head, suggesting he had ineed been doing his hair. Maybe a bit OTT with the gel this time Ben?
