Ben (23) a Gemini was born in Bath but brought up in Cornwall. He did his A Levels at Millfield - a school for sporting excellence - where he was coached by Jonah Barrington in Squash and consequently was the National Schools Champion between 1994-1995.
He went to the Guildford School of Acting where Gabby Roslin/Michael Greco and The Bill's Samantha Robson also attended.
Young teenage girls may recognise him from 'Welcome to Ourty fou' in which he played Sebastian Street. Ben was inundated with fan e-mails on the CITV website. Before securing his role on The Bill, Ben played Warrant Officer Hill in 'Band of Brothers' the Speilberg/Hanks series, and a bridegroom in the forthcoming film of 'Bridget Jones Diary' - it has put Ben off getting married!
When Ben was just 19 he was struck down with bacterial Meningitis. He was given 15 minutes to live but was saved by his girlfriend who took him to the doctors recognising he was ill. He is now rightly apprehensive every time he gets a headache and is aiming to raise money for the Meningitis Trust to help research and raise general awareness.
