Re-engineering:
We have been working with
COMPAQ (Scotland) Plc to re-engineer their product
delivery (manufacturing) process. As a consequence, Compaq Corporation re-engineered its
manufacturing process based on the process piloted at its plant in Scotland. This
delivered:
Economic Value Added tripled.
Cash balance increased by $3.4bn
Productivity increased by 51%. |

As an
independent consultant and an associate consultant to major consultancies such as
Cape Gemini Ernst & Young Management Consultancy Services, Paul has
worked with many global companies to transform their businesses to deliver increases in
shareholder's value. He has a wide experience, in various industries, in developing,
recommending and introducing Business Strategies. This includes developing financial
investment programs for capital expenditure and preparing reports and presenting results
to senior managers. Therefore, he has a high level of interpersonal skills, an excellent
problem solving ability and is very effective communicator at all levels.
He completed his degree in
aeronautical engineering and entered industry as a graduate engineer in power engineering
components with GEC-Alstrom. He spent some time as a research engineer and then joined the
design department as a programmer analyst, where his main duties included developing and
monitoring engineering computer systems, supporting users and managing standards for
quality assurance and security.
On leaving GEC-Alstrom, Paul became a Management
Consultant with LucasVarity Plc. After a period as a
Project Manager at Pirelli, he joined
Ingersoll Engineers as a Management Consultant. He
has worked on a wide range of projects to improve the productivity performance of 'Blue
Chip' companies. At Lucas and
Ingersoll, he gained considerable experience in
creating innovative Competitive Strategies and Business Processes. He was involved in
rearranging manufacturing facilities for various types of
industries. This included:
