 Liverpool: Tate Gallery; Albert Dock; Mersey ferry; modern Roman Catholic cathedral; new Anglican cathedral

Greater Manchester

 Manchester: I went for a Sixth Form Open Day at UMIST in 1975; visited the Friends Meeting House (?Mount Street); and went to Eccles Friends Meeting House several times. [I should like to visit Manchester Town Hall.]

 Salford: the paintings of L.S. Lowrey at the Lowrey Centre; Manchester Ship Canal

 Altrincham: I went skating at Altrincham ice-rink a few times.
