I visited Washington D.C. , for its Smithsonians, and for its capital city architecture and monuments. It exceeded all expectations, and now I am looking forward to visiting again. So many of the people in DC were polite, friendly and helpful, that at first it was disconcerting. The weather was gorgeous when I was there, which helps, but DC does get a lot of good weather..
Seeing the White House, the Capitol, the Washington Memorial and the Federal Triangle is exciting like meeting a world famous movie star.
The Smithsonian National Gallery of Art is superb, with an amazing collection. The Smithsonian Museum of Air and Space is equally amazing. The Smithsonian Zoo is of some interest, and I was able to video record many of the animals, some clips from which I have uploaded onto YouTube. [Consider embedding videos here.]
