J.R.R. Tolkien - The Man Who Started It All
Tolkien's Foreward to "Lord of the Rings"
Christopher Tolkien's Foreword to "The Silmarillion"

Welcome to the Middle-Earth Web Ring page. This webring is dedicated to the life and works of J.R.R.Tolkien.
To become a member of this Ring you first of all have to have a page concerning J.R.R. Tolkien. His life, books, characters, etc. Pages that are 'going to be' about Tolkien, but not yet containing any actual content other than 'Under Contstruction' will not be allowed to join.
Pages that are still in the construction process but have good content on them already will be allowed.
Sites to be included into the webring should be easily negotiated by English speaking visitors, although not necessarily be an English site.
At the moment this ring is only a very small one, as it has just started life, but we hope, with your help, to make this a great Tolkien ring.
If you wish to join this web-ring then please fill out the form below, and you will be sent the html code you are required to put on the index page of your site, before any consideration will be given to the addition of your site to this ring.
Instructions for adding the Middle-EarthWeb Ring logo to your site

Once you have submitted your site to the Web Ring queue, download the zip file below, put the font into your Windows/Fonts folder, place the hobbit-anicut1.gif into the same folder as your webpages and insert the html code included into the html of the index page of your site.
You will have some changes to make, for example where the e-mail address and name of site owner is inserted, you must put YOUR e-mail address and name there.
Go down the html code and everywhere it says lotrring;id=1 change the number '1' to your site id number. (The one you were sent via email when you requested to be added to the ring).
That's it. All you have to do then is send an e-mail to: Pauline and once your site has been checked and been seen to contain the correct html code on your index page, you will be added to the ring.
