    In 1851 Elijah 27 was still  living with Elizabeth Illidge, widow, Brush maker employing 1 man (Elijah) Salop Street.
    In 1861 Elijah 37 lived at 36 Bloomsbury Street.
    Was deceased at the time of John`s marriage (7.4.1890).

    On copy of marriage certificate father was shown as William Rye Grocer.  Presumably he was either illegitimate or his mother re-married a man with the name Garner and Elijah took on the name.
