Copy of Smalley Chapel (Morley records) marriage Banns read `Banns ofmarriage between John Beniston and Martha Oldknow were published in the Chapel of Smalley on March 26th April 2nd & 9th - John Beniston of this parish Collier & a bachelor and Martha Oldknow of this Parish Spinster were married in this Church by virtue of the aforesaid Banns on 8th day of June in the year one thousand seven hundred and seventy five by me John Ward Curate. This Marriage was solemnized between Us John Beniston and Martha Oldknow (both signed by their marks) in the Presence of Patrick Dickinson + Elizabeth Mee`.
