The 01 season started out with something of a surprise. You may recall that Pamela's first ever coming out as a TV was as a bridal weekend in Torquay in 1993. Well, this time she treated herself to another of these deliciously bizarre events, this time organized (I must say superbly) by Danielle and the hotel staff at a small hotel in Bournemouth. (See Danielle's own account for further details.) A small gathering that has the charm of being able to talk to everyone, but with that added frisson of gorgeous bridal gowns and wedding dresses, to say nothing of being the elegant guest, bridesmaid and the like.

The special garment this time was a rather scrumptious Victorian bridal gown (complete with full bustle) based somewhat on the Victorian gown we did a year or two ago. Gorgeous to wear, in taffeta (and naturally dear, with suitably rustling long-legged drawers!) you just have to be careful when maneuvering, as one's rear tends to be a little extended.
