The season kicked off in a modest way for Pamela with a visit to Ron Storme's club night in mid October. I'd heard about them for years, but had never gone and when Miranda rang to say she was organising a small party to go, and would I like to join, I didn't hesitate. It's held generally fortnightly in a nightclub in London's East End. We booked into a friendly hotel nearby and at about 8.30 four TVs and two (very elegant) wives jumped into two taxis to head to the venue.

What we found was delightful, though Pamela must admit she was flagging by the end of the evening. A large club with about 150 people there at maximum, a good dancefloor, extremely entertaining drag cabaret and a lot of opportunity to talk to others, size up the other dresses and look for the most convincing (and there were some). Certainly a venue worth going to. And the return taxis arrived spot on time to whisk us back to our hotel.

Of course Pamela had to think what she was going to wear - but for this one a simple ruched black dress seemed the most appropriate. A new redhead wig went well, with green jewellery. And you can see the result.
