Rotherham

One of the highlights of the season is the Rotherham weekend - the conference of the Beaumont Society. It's held in a 'posh' hotel which has superb facilities, plenty of space, a grand piano (Pamela indulges) and last, but by no means least, exceptionally good food. Last year ('96) Pamela used this venue to give la Duchesse her debut outing - this year she was going to go one better. And she did, as you can see to the right - for full details see 'She Wore A Yellow Dress'

Of course there was still the problem of what to wear for all the other nights - it's a real devil of a dilemma, but probably central to our 'hobby'.

This time outfits included a whispy affair in grey/black (from my normal charity shop suppliers - the top is actually M&S)... ... and a delightfully slinky 'Chinese catsuit' in black - this is a real treasure, that I picked up very recently and to put it mildly 'fits like a glove'.

Other (unillustrated) highlights of the weekend include Pamela going for her first swim in a bikini (in this case the two-piece was in a lovely turquoise Lycra); a couple of hours shopping in Leeds city centre and subsequently in the Meadowhall centre (in a Liz Claiborne black and grey tweed suit - very elegant) and wearing an outfit completely in leopard print (including all underwear and hosiery).

But one of the real joys of these weekends is meeting old and making new friends - this was no exception.
