all3_small.jpg (11459 bytes) There are a few TVs for whom ladies underwear isn't much of a turn-on, but I suspect they are in something of a minority. Pamela isn't one of them and she has particular views on the sort of underwear that turns her on. Do you agree ?

It's got to match

Except in abnormal situations, you really should consider the ensemble of your undergarments together. That means that if it's black, it should be all black, or if it's smooth and slinky, it should all be smooth and slinky. This doesn't mean that black and white can't go together, it's just that the combinations should be chosen to go together. (Even orange and purple could work in the right circumstances.) This should exend to co-ordination with your topwear, especially if you're attempting conviction. Of course, if you want to be the tart, then it's perfectly acceptable to wear black undies under white dresses.

You need full-cup bras

For everyday wear a good medium-control bra with full cups is essential. It helps you to present a nice shapely bust (with good breastforms) and you don't need to worry about falsies falling free. Your Wonderbras™ and quarter-cup platforms can wait for those naughtier evenings. Of course if you like to be very well endowed and want to show jigglability then a full-cup bra is vital. Just because it's full-cup doesn't mean it can't be sexy - explore to find ones in many colours, odd materials and lacy and see-through styles.

'I have midriff bulge - I really need a Longline'

longline.jpg (18123 bytes) You might be suprised at how comfortable a longline bra can be. They tend to give you nice support and that nice 'grippy' feeling. Sometimes Pamela treats herself to a day wearing a longline (and will sometimes match it with a high-waisted girdle).
Try ones with a cuff waist. Most brands (Playtex, Berlei, Exquisite Form) make nice ones and M&S's standard is perfectly acceptable. Many of them have very nice pretty delicate lace and other decorations. I also have two nice sheer longlines that are lovely and sleek, which need the best breastforms. Perhaps the only grumbles are that the largest cup sizes are almost impossible to find - rarely do you get a longline bigger than D cup, and white seems to be the ubiquitous colour - black can be found sometimes (especially in the US), but other colours are extinct.

Big girls can have lots of fun

For a change, probably in private or with a few close friends, try being a rather big girl. (I don't advise it for trying to pass in the street !) With a nice heavy breastform it can be great fun for an evening, especially experiencing the pull of a fully-loaded large bra, and having a very busty outline under a tight blouse. Make sure it's full cup of course. Then you can see what it's like to have to put up with F, G or even larger cups ! bigb1.jpg (38681 bytes)

'Girls' can wear Girdles

crowncop.jpg (17144 bytes) Something about a girdle is basically attractive. It's the combination of being firm, but stretchy, sleek but vulnerable that I like.
There are many styles to choose from - even in open bottoms you can have roll-ons, high-waisted, zip sides.... to say nothing of the materials and the colours.
Wearing one with appropriate padding can give you a lovely feeling of being 'held in' - this can be delicious for many hours under your outer feminine image, but of course you have to make sure that 'your girdle isn't killing you !'
One of Pamela's favourites is a high-waisted Berlei GaySlant.

Don't stick to suspenders

You don't always have to wear a suspender belt. Try just wearing panties with sheer tights, or even experiment with a nice light-control pantie-girdle. You may be pleasantly suprised at the feelings it gives you, as well as helping you present a nice smooth profile ! But don't let this stop you enjoying the thrill of adjusting suspenders - what about getting a belt with 12 suspenders or a bra with extra long and really frilly suspenders attached ?

All-in-Ones can be sexy

all2_small.jpg (18311 bytes) Corselettes, combining the bra and the girdle, can give a nice firm feeling of support (for the bust) and containment (for lower regions), whilst still being rather comfortable. And they can even be effective under clinging dresses !
I particularly like smooth pantie-corselettes, especially those with long legs that are sometimes obtainable in the US. They give a lovely smooth surface all the way from your mid back to mid-thigh - really repays being stroked ! all1_small.jpg (9289 bytes)

Try Smoothness for a Change

Many TVs really enjoy the frills and the lace - being frothy is a great turn-on. But don't neglect the possibility of really smooth, stretchy undergarments. There are some excellent bodies and fuller panties, especially in modern Lycra and Microfibre mixtures which can both gently pull you in (caress might bea closer word !) and look sleek and sexy. And they're very comfortable too.

In Olden Days...

Even something as 'dowdy' as a pair of directoire knickers can be sexy in the right circumstances (try wearing pairs in satin, or rubber or see-through :-) For a change specialists (such as Rosalind Woods) make some delightful frilly knickers that can be such fun. [A correspondent took me to task about 'dowdy' - it was perhaps one of the attractions !]

Shopping for it

I personally enjoy shopping for lingerie and other underwear very much indeed. Of course at first there was an embarassment factor, which just occasionally still reasserts itself, but generally now I'm really happy. After all you're going to get yourself some lovely new undies aren't you, so what could be more delightful than browsing through racks of pretty bras, or searching for just that nice deep suspender belt you've been looking for. It's all confidence - if you're not embarrassing others (and you shouldn't) then it's great fun. All the normal UK stores are good - M&S these days has some really delightful undies and a great variety of styles, including occasional interesting ones (e.g. smooth light-control hip corselettes) and even plenty of see-through materials.

The main problem I find is deciding which colour. Too many times I can't decide white or black, and as you might guess, I end up getting both.

Suppliers

There are some other recommended suppliers:

Maitresse
An excellent US site specialising in those 'full and firm support' foundations - long-legged pantie girdles, corselettes etc. Impeccable service.
Rosalind Woods
An excellent supplier of fun (as opposed to erotic) lingerie of the 'directoire' type - frilly knickers, short skirts and petticoats, see-through blouses etc. Much more in their printed catalogue.
Woods of Morecambe
Standard lingerie and foundation wear - very good for standard bras, girdles and corselettes.
Note - this business has been resurrected in 2001 on the web - I have good reports of their service
Catherine Robertson - Unique Padded Panty Girdles
A supplier of specialist panty and open-style girdles for the TV. Rather effective (Pamela often wears one) but moderately pricey.
JD Williams
A very good mail-order operation that I use a lot - excellent range and good prices..
