Miscellanea of the Exchequer are interesting by reason of their great antiquity and the details of mediaeval life which they disclose. Some of them are written in Latin, and some in Norman French: Students of Welsh history will welcome the file of indentures re the beasts and goods forfeited to the King by the men of Glamorgan who rose in revolt under Llewelyn Bren in the years 1314-1316.
