London Pools Campaign  An organisation set up by six of the threatened and closed London swimming pools to highlight the plight of swimming in the capital. Also carries more general information about what is happening in public pools. 

Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group A learned and sometimes rather technical resource but a body that has been working for many years, often behind the scenes, to raise standards. 

Pooling Resources Set up mainly to help people in their campaigns for their local swimming pools. This site includes information on pool closures (temporary or permanent), parliamentary debates or "questions" on public swimming, individual or group efforts to save pools, press coverage and details of successful outcomes too.

Management & Use of Pools A handy and not overly-technical manual prepared by Norfolk County Council. Includes as Appendices desired frequency of various types of cleaning and other actions, a glossary and a handy table of what, for example, different types of cloudy water indicate.

Consumer Action Group - Ordinary people standing up to companies and institutions and organisations that have ignored, exploited or otherwise poorly served. CAG has led the successful challenges to unwarranted bank charges and expanded its areas of interest.

Local Government Ombudsman Watch  Exposing the Ombudsman's pro-council bias and whitewashing of maladministration. (My experience of referring my complaints to the Local Government Ombudsman supports the highly critical views of LGO Watch. PB)
