> > The People's Opera, 2000, written and directed by Jude Alderson, with costumes designed by Ruth Sabin. The work tells the story of the Levellers movment from the point of view of the people of the Forest of Dean. It was performed by people from the forest and was shown at three venues; two indoors and one in a clearing in the forest itself.

The first two pictures show the basic set and the third the final scene, after the main wall has been broken through. The bottom picture shows the outdoor performance, with the trapeze in use.
