The Droobers, Octavian Droobers or  OD as they are known are your local orienteering club. The club promotes the sport of orienteering through its activities and membership. The club is affiliated to the West Midlands Orienteering Association - WMOA and The British Orienteering Association - BOF.

What is Orienteering?

Orienteering is the fun outdoor sport of finding control points using a special map to navigate, it involves brain as well as body. 

Who for?

Anyone! We have members of all ages from toddlers to Senior Citizens, many are family memberships. Some local schools such as KHVIII are members.

Where?

We use the parks around Coventry and have many areas of countryside specially mapped.

How?

We organise events that are open to all including non members, just turn up to one of our informal events or contact the organiser named in the fixture list or e-mail the club secretary. clubsec@octavian-droobers.org

When?

Saturday Informal events during autumn/winter/spring

Wednesday evening informal events during the summer

Do I need to be fit?

No! walking is best when you start so that you don't get lost, but getting fitter is a distinct possibility.

Do I need to be a member?

No! just come along to one of our events and try orienteering.
