Past Successes
Twins Jason and Justin are widely regarded as the number one pair in the Great Britain Open Team, and have been Europe's youngest professional pair for the previous 10 years. Fixtures, together with their father, in the British Team, their unique achievements and family connections have made them familiar faces in the press worldwide.

Initially introduced to bridge at the age of 11 by mother Olivia, by 16 the twins were the youngest ever players in the World Olympiad in Miami, and soon they went on to become European Champions and World Junior champions. Jeff Morris who runs the Manchester Bridge Club; "They have a lot of experience and I believe they will do very well.  I am sure they will one day be world champions at senior level."

  • John and Paul went won the $6000 first prize in the Pairs in the Yeh Bros Cup in Shenzhen Feb 2007
  • Paul and Ross Harper won the pairs at the Easter London Tournament
  • Jason and Justin, Janet de Botton, Nick Sandqvist, Artur Malinowski and David Burn won Crockfords.
  • Justin, Janet De Botton, Nick Sandqvist and Artur Malinowski won the Hubert Phillips
  • Justin and Paul, James Forsyth and Jim McMahon were runners-up in the Scottish Cup
  • Paul, John Armstrong, Peter Hecht-Johansen and Knut Blakset got to the final of the teams in Juan-Les-Pins

  • Paul won the Asuka Cup, the Pairs Tournament in Japan held during the NEC Cup. His partner was Junko Nishimura.
  • Brian Corlenius, Justin, Barbara and Paul were runners-up in The Easter Swiss Teams held in Blackpool
  • Paul and John Armstrong finished third in the Imp pairs in the Spring American Nationals held in Pittsburgh
  • Justin, Barbara, Jason and Paul, together with Brian Cornelius won the Staffordshire League for the second year running. At the moment we are still leading the Warwickshire League to try and make it four in a row, but in The Manchester League losing 30-0 to Rita Jordan's team have dented our chances of retaining the title..
  • Jason won The West Norwegian Team Champoinship, playing with Martin Andressen, who is Captain of the Norwegian Football team. Teammates were Thomas Charlse, Arild Rasmussen and Eric Saelsminde.
  • In the European Championships Jason and Justin, David Gold, Tom Townsend, David Price and Colin Simpson qualified for the Bermuda Bowl final in Estoril, Portugal. This is the first time that an English Open team has qualified. Paul was part of the Senior team.
  • The Mind Sports Olympiad held in Manchester saw Justin and Mike Alexander getting the gold medal in the men’s pairs. In the Board-a-Match teams Jason, Justin, Paul and Geir Helgemo won Gold and went on to the double by winning the Swiss teams. Paul also won silver in the senior pairs partnering Peter Sinclair.
  • Jason was in the winning team in the Intercities in Hong Kong.
  • Winners of the Cwmbran Swiss teams were Paul, Brian Cornelius, Gary Hyett and Craig Fisher.
  • The Olympiad in Istanbul saw Jason and Justin, David Gold, Tom Townsend, David Bakshi and Andrew Robson won the Round Robin. Jason + Justin finished the leading World Pair in the Butler ranking.
  • Barbara, Justin, Brian Cornelius finished runners-up in the Coronation Cup.
  • Brian Cornelius, Sandra Fenton, Brian Senior Jason, Justin and Paul retained the Warwickshire Premier League title for the third year running.
  • Janet De Bottom, Artur Malinoski, Gunnar Hallberg, Nick Sandquist finished second in Crockfords.
  • Brian Cornelius, Sandra Fenton, Gary Hyett, Barbara, Jason, Justin and Paul retained the Staffordshire 1st division title
  • Brian Cornelius, Barbara, Justin and Paul won the Doncaster Swiss teams and went on to win the Sutton Coldfield Swiss teams
  • Barbara won a silver medal at the 2005 Venice Cup in Estoril playing with Pony Nehmert in the German Women's team
  • Paul has been selected for Camrose Trophy weekend playing with Tony Waterlow against Ireland and Northern Ireland.
