This activity is a test of memory and concentration. Each player repeats and adds to a growing list of objects which are to be taken away on holiday. At first children may be aided in remembering the sequence if they are offered in alphabetical order but this may be dispensed with later. Each object is given in the singular so that an article is required in the given sentence. If played in alphabetical order a game could develop as follows.

Paul packed his bag with an apple and a badge.

Paul packed his bag with an apple, a badge and a computer.
