The Luggage Rack Anthem

This suitcase was found by John Lenton, a senior VFI scholar, in the boiler passage of Oldham Library: no one has any idea how it got there. The suitcase was empty except for a single sheet of paper which contains a list of 92 words. The paper was badly damaged by water at some stage and numerous words cannot be read with certainty. Updates to this list will be made as John deciphers further words.

John believes Tulse was seeking a sympathetic composer willing to use his list as the libretto for an opera. The VFI is hoping to arrange what Tulse failed to achieve by commissioning a moderately popular piece of serial music - The Luggage Rack Anthem, to be published on the VFI's second anniversary - based on Tulse's list. Interested composers should contact the VFI Secretary.
