Petagium |
cg offers these notes on Pernacious Petagium Fellitus
I suffered from PPF and found that kicking a bird cured it. I recommended this to the VFI Secretary who suffered from Petagium Fellitus (non-pernacious). She went to kick a pigeon, missed, and hit her foot against a wall. Not only did her Petagium Fellitus become pernicious, but she also ended up in hospital with a broken foot.
Given this, I would recommend the following:
- Do kick Grouse: Advantages: rarely seen near walls; provides excellent exercise.
- Don't kick either Ostriches or Emus: These are to be avoided as they kick back.
- Do not approach Cassowaries: These have
been known to kill assailants.
Current research indicates that
thinking of a pigeon being kicked can be theraputic, that is, the remedy may derive from psychological, rather than physical, violence to birds.
