About VT-92

You must have a terminal emulator to talk to a Unix machine. Most people use a VT100 Terminal Emulator. Indeed, whether you like it or not, almost all terminal emulation programs emulate the VT100 - including the one you're using! VT100 became a standard for terminals soon after it was built by DEC to interface mainframes. With the explosion in Internet access, however, VT100 is proving to be increasingly slow and cumbersome.
