HREF="#edinburgh_airport_ltd_" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U>Edinburgh Airport</U></A> is 40 miles away and <A HREF="#glasgow_prestwick_international_airport_" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U>Glasgow Prestwick Airport</U></A> is about 32 miles away.  </div> <bR> <div> If you arrive by plane, it's advisable to take public transport into <B>Glasgow City Centre</B> and make your way to <B>Buchanan Bus Station</B>.   From there, the dojo is only a short walk.</div> <bR> <div> <B> <A NAME="glasgow_airport_directions"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="1x1.gif" HEIGHT="1" ALIGN="bottom" WIDTH="1" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0" ></A></B><B>Glasgow Airport</B></div> <bR> <div> From Glasgow Airport, catch one of the frequent shuttle buses from outside the departure hall to <B>Buchanan Bus Station</B>.  It should cost about £3 each way.  Then follow the directions given in the <A HREF="#arriving_by_bus" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U>Arriving By Bus</U></A> section.     Taxis into Glasgow will cost about £15 (at the time of writing) from the taxi rank outside the departure hall.</div> <bR> <div> <B> <A NAME="edinburgh_airport_directions"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="1x1.gif" HEIGHT="1" ALIGN="bottom" WIDTH="1" HSPACE="0" VSPACE="0" ></A></B><B>Edinburgh Airport</B></div> <bR> <div> From Edinburgh Airport, catch a shuttle bus into <B>Edinburgh City Centre</B>.  The journey takes approximately 25 minutes and terminates at Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station and is just off the city's main street, Princes Street.  Tickets cost about £3.50 each way and can be bought on the bus itself.</div> <bR> <div> You can then catch a train from <A HREF="#edinburgh_waverley_railway_station_" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U><B>Waverly Train Station</B></U></A> into Glasgow Queen Street and then walk to the dojo.  Trains to Glasgow are normally 45 mins long and run at 15 minute intervals.  Depending on the time of travel tickets are around £10.  Once you arrive at Queen Street Train Station, follow the directions in the section <A HREF="#getting_to_the_dojo_from_queen_street" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U>Getting to the Dojo from Queen Street Train Station</U></A>.</div> <bR> <div> Alternatively you can catch a bus from Waverly Bridge bus station direct to Buchanan Bus Station.  Journey's take about an hour but are substantially cheaper.  Then follow the directions in the section <A HREF="#arriving_by_bus" TITLE="Caledonia University Directions"><U>Arriving By Airport</B></div> <bR> <div> Catch the train from the Prestwick International Airport station direct to <B>Glasgow Central Station</B>.  To reach this station, do <I>not </I>exit the building into the carpark - follow the signs up the escalator to the covered walkway to the station.  If you fly with a <I>Ryanair </I>flight, keep the ticket-stubs - you will be entitled to a 50% discount on the journey to and from Glasgow Central Station.  At the time of writing this is £2.50 each way (£5 to non-<I>Ryanair </I>passengers).</div> <bR> <div> Once you get to Central Station, follow the Glasgow generally terminate at Glasgow Queen Street Station, those from the South complete their journey at Glasgow Central Station.</div> <bR> <div> Consider the streetmap.  Don't worry, the Station</B></div> <bR> <div> This should only take 5 minutes.</div> <bR> <div> There are a number of exits from the station.  Follow the U signs for the exit to <B>Buchanan Street</B> underground station.  Do not enter the underground but walk up the steps on the right towards <B>Cathedral Street</B>.  Turn left at the road and walk under the <B>Buchanan Galleries</B> shopping mall.  You will be able to see a large video screen on top of the <B>Royal Concert Hall</B>.  </div> <bR> <div> Turn right and cross the street, walking towards the statue of <B>Donald Dewar</B> in the square in front of the Royal Concert Hall, continuing left to walk around the shops at the base of the Concert Hall.  Turn right at <B>West Nile Street</B>.  You will see the tall <B>UGC</B> cinema building on your left.  The bus station is visible on your right, past <B>Langs Hotel</B> at the crossroads.</div> <bR> <div> <B> <A NAME="getting_to_dojo_from_central_station"><IMG BORDER="0" SRC="1x1.gif" from Central Station.  Find the main (huge) arrivals and departures board and walk away from it, past the ticket office.  You should exit at <B>Gordon Street</B>.  Turn right and walk along Gordon Street, crossing <B>Mitchell Street</B> until you reach <B>Buchanan Street</B>, a pedestrian area.  Turn left at <B>Borders </B>bookshop and walk up the street, towards the large video screen on top of the <B>Royal Concert Hall</B>.  </div> <bR> <div> Walk towards the Royal Concert Hall, towards the statue of <B>Donald Dewar</B> and then go left to walk around it, turning right at <B>West Nile
