FRANK GODWIN - WRITER / PRODUCER
Prior to entering the film industry, Frank Godwin wrote, directed and
appeared in musical theatre and revue. An assistant executive producer at
Pinewood, he was associated with the making of GENEVIEVE and CASTELLANI'S
ROMEO & JULIET. His films as producer include the award-winning WOMAN IN A
DRESSING GOWN, NO TREES IN THE STREET, OPERATION BULLSHINE, THE SMALL WORL
OF SAMMY LEE and DEMON OF THE MIND. His first children's film was enormously
successful and has won 4 "CHIFFY" Awards. He has since produced for the
Foundation HEADLINE HUNTERS, THE BOY WITH TWO HEADS, FIREFIGHTERS and SKY
PIRATES. Frank was co-author of DEMONS OF THE MIND and THE BOY WITH TWO
HEADS, and has scripted several of the CHIMPMATES comedy series. He is
currently writing a musical fantasy, THE MAGIC TRUMPET.
JEREMY SUMMERS - DIRECTOR
Jeremy entered the film industry in 1948 as a unit runner at M.G.M.
Studios for Herbert Wilcox and Anna Neagle. He served his apprenticeship on
the camera, in the cutting rooms and on the floor as an outstanding
assistant director. His first directing assignment at the age of 24 was on
the INTERNATIONAL DETECTIVE TV series. His main feature films include Tony
Hancock's PUNCH AND JUDY MAN, CROOKS IN THE CLOISTERS, FERRY ACROSS THE
MERSEY, VENGEANCE OF FU MANCHU and FIVE GOLDEN DRAGONS, also children's
films: GHOST OF MONK'S ISLAND ("CHIFFY" Award) and ONE HOUR TO ZERO. He has
directed numerous TV series, including THE AVENGERS, THE SAINT, DANGER MAN,
U.F.O., THE PROTECTORS, RANDALL AND HOPKIRK DECEASED, THE PATHFINDER etc.
HARRY ROBINSON - COMPOSER
Although trained as a classical musician, Harry first made an
impact in the field of popular music with 'HOOTS MON', which sold over a
million records. Since then he has worked in TV, theatre and recording
studios with numerous top artists and groups, including Judy Garland, Liza
Minelli, and the Beatles. His latest work in the theatre is ELVIS, which
recently won the EVENING STANDARD AWARD as Musical of the Year. As a film
composer, his credits include THE OBLONG BOX, COUNTESS DRACULA, DEMONS OF
THE MIND, NIGHTMARE PARK, LEGEND OF THE WEREWOLF, NOT NOW COMRADE and
several award-winning children's films. PATSY ROWLANDS -
"MUM"
Patsy Rowlands was born in Palmers Green, London. She won a scholarshop
to The Guildhall School of Music and Drama, studying singing and drama,
which started her early career as a singer in pantomime and summer seasons.
While 'playing everything possible' at the Player's Theatre, she was noticed
by Vida Hope, who cast her as 'Thetis Tooke' in VALMOUTH at the Saville
Theatre. This was followed by a revue, ONE TO ANOTHER, then ONE WAY PENDULUM
at the Criterion and SEMI DETACHED at the Saville. Her films include TOM
JONES, A KIND OF LOVING, ALICE IN WONDERLAND, BLESS THIS HOUSE, JOSEPH
ANDREWS and eight CARRY ON films. In 1976 Patsy joined the Lyric Company
appearing in Chekhov's THE SEAGULL opposite Joan Plowright, and the much
acclaimed Ben Travers comedy THE BED BEFORE YESTERDAY. She is currently
appearing in SHUT YOUR EYES AND THINK OF ENGLAND opposite Donald Sinden at
the Apollo Theatre, Shaftesbury Avenue.
