Julian
Holloway, recently took time out from the new Dreamworks (The people who
make "Shrek") animated series "Father Of The Pride", to answer some questions
for the "Sammy's Super T-Shirt" website
1. Do you have fond memories of the production?
I have very fond memories of "Sammy's Super T-Shirt", because my
daughter Sophie was born during production. I finished work a little earlier
than scheduled, drove to the hospital and about five minutes later she
arrived! The celebrations on set seemed to go on for the rest of the shoot!
2. How much fun was it playing an evil mad scientist?
I think that Mr Trotter was not so much evil, as a gullible man
caught in the web of the really evil Mr Beckett.
3. Did you enjoy working with the late Richard Vernon (Mr. Becket)?
Richard Vernon was a delight to work with and we got on very
well.
4. Have you kept in contact with any of the cast members?
I bumped into Reggie Winch at a Variety Club Ball a couple of years
ago. Needless to say I wouldn't have recognized him, as it was twenty five
years after the event, but he made himself known to me and we had a giggle
about the film.
5. Did you star in any other C.F.F. films?
I did one other film for C.F.F. which was called "The Hostages" with
Robin Askwith and Ray Barrett, which we made in 1975.
6. Could you tell us some of your accomplishments in show business
("Carry Ons" etc.)?
If you want a more detailed list of credits, there is a fairly
comprehensive list on the
International Movie Database website.
7. What are you up to these days?
I'm currently doing an animated series for Dreamworks entitled
"Father Of The Pride", in which I am the voice of Siegfried (of Siegfried
and Roy)
