The Food Of Love
Nancy is now on her own reflecting and hurting deeply. She bears the emotional scars of many years of neglect and longs just to love and to be truly loved in return. The song describes her as (in a sense) living in a 'desert ', although in this scene she has actually gone out 'dancing' at a nightclub on her own that evening. Dancing alone in the crowd, she wonders why her relationship with her estranged Lover went so wrong.
