Tower Of Love

This scene is based on the Biblical account of 'Shadrach, Meshach and Abednigo' who were sentenced to death because they would not bow down to the 'graven image' set before them by the King and Ruler of The Known World at that time. The 'bell rang out ' but they would not bow down ! A 'fiery furnace' now awaited them. The story goes on to say that despite being thrown into the raging fire they were not burned at all and remained alive inside the furnace unharmed! They came out completely unscathed and changed the world as it was then. The main thing here I suppose is that they could and perhaps should have easily been burned up and yet knowing that naturally they didn't stand a chance in the flames they still would rather have died than give in to what they knew was absolutely wrong. Their courage in those extreme circumstances is admirable. The "Tower of Love" is a Lighthouse that shows the way through all the storms and adversities of Life guiding us towards a safe haven. It is a place of safety and security, and those who have persevered through all of Life's difficulties and trials may perhaps some day find it. Nancy and her Lover have arrived at this place - they have found 'true' love and together, they want to be 'locked' securely inside the Tower Of Love...
