Be Brave

This song takes us to the point of New Birth (and Resurrection) as the butterflies start to emerge from their cocoons and begin to spread their wings ready for their very first flight into freedom. Caterpillars cannot fly, they have no wings. Therefore they have to change quite radically in order to become butterflies. For some time it was not at all certain or guaranteed that they would change. These caterpillars would have had to face a kind of 'living death ' and be instrumental in their own 'burial ' and incarceration. Only then could 'metamorphosis ' take place out of sight and in secret, before they would begin their final struggle to break free into the light, towards a new life and a new freedom which would far outstrip anything they could have ever experienced before. Nancy and her Lover have now become butterflies. As they are re-born and come out into the sunlight we hear them singing, "we're holding in our hands, keys to The Promised Land, concealed in jars of clay, but Love will find a way, it's all becoming clear, we're laughing through the tears, as Love comes through..! " The 'Miracle of Life ' has taken place once again on "Butterfly Island"...
