For Once In My Life
This song is sung by The Bridegroom, and is about him reaching an important and defining point in his life ie: his marriage to Nancy (his bride) and his feelings of elation, for after having been through so much, he can now see both of them coming out the other side into this new Life which is unfolding before them. He sings about "reaping" what has been "sown" - He's now starting to reap the benefits after all the changes he has had to painfully endure in order to see "new growth". Then was the season to "sow" (and patiently wait for the crop to start growing). Now on his wedding day, is the time to start "reaping" and enjoying the good things that lie ahead, now waiting to be harvested...
