
So Different Now
The Lover looks back at his past life with Nancy. He pictures them together and begins to recall some of the things they used to say to each other when they first started 'going out '. As he looks back, he gets a feeling of them being "so near and yet so far ". He considers how their relationship always seemed lacking and incomplete. He compares those memories to the present day and the wedding that has just taken place "...it's oh SO different now, your love surrounds me ! " he sings to her. Back then they could never feel completely secure and truly loved because their relationship was weak and unstable. But "it's SO different now ! " for they have found a True Love that they hope will last forever...
