Thanks to everyone who supported the band on Tuesday a real mission and
hardcore dedication especially on a cold and grey evening in west London.
However the first band on The Globe and All did drive up from Cornwall -
apparently a six hour slog!
Once again the Runes rose to the occasion with a classic set faultlessly
executed from falsestart to finish !
The banter was as ever quick fire and had the audience
rolling in the aisles.
Most of all the sound was excellent and allowed the music to speak for
itself.
A superb night !
One of the faithful who shall remain nameless did however have an
overlong return journey which involved a train to Victoria from Putney-another
train to Three Bridges - a bus to Brighton railway station and a two mile
walk home-that is true dedication to the cause and equal in duration to a drive
to Cornwall !! The next gig is the Hope and Anchor -Islington on Thurs
20th April with Dummyrun -The Cherry Reds and Dutch Short Wave.It should be a
great night this time in North London a little closer to home !!
