Old News

11/11 - I've updated Object Splitter SE - Revision 1 now, fixing a couple of problems with the p-channel palette and allowing you to open up a .pal palette file to use (as the palette optimisation leaves a bit to be desired).  I've also tweaked the z-depth channel to produce a slightly darker image as I found half of an image vanishing when I moved it over a carpet!.

9/11 - Today is a big day for all you object makers out there.   The hard-graft that I have been putting into my new program has paid off and I can now present Object Splitter SE - Revision 1.  This Applet Assistant will generate the p-channel and a-channel for a single tile object, in addition it can generate the z-channel for a cylindrical object.  I've updated the downloads page with a few conditions for usage and added a quick guide to using this new Applet Assistant.

Object Splitter SE has to be THE most in-depth program that I have created yet.  The most complicated aspect was that of saving the bitmap files as 256 colour bitmaps and specifying palette colours, however the work has paid off and I now have quite a powerful little program for distribution.  I feel that is has been worth the wait and hope you feel this as well - I just wish that this type of software had been available when I began looking into object making originally.  One option that I think is a god send is the ability to generate and save three images with hardly any human input - the computer does it for you.

In addition users can now subscribe to a proper list to receive information on all updates to Applet Assistants.

Sims in a Bottle has now been added to the links page.

26/10 - I've just added SimOne and Doctor Frankensim to the Links page.  It has been brought to my attention that the receipt from my forms pages doesn't work - I shall investigate and find out why.  The z-channel tool that I am working on is slowly begining to take shape and I hope to upload a preview version of it soon - watch this space!

20/10 - Horah! I've now sorted out the object smoothing tool in Object Masker and released v1.0.4 (beta).  I am looking into the possibility of creating a tool that will create the z-channel bitmaps, if my trials prove fruitful, I shall begin development of a single tool that will allow the a-channel and z-channel creation in one (I have also worked out a way of generating the side views from a front and back image).

In case you aren't aware the Sim Transmogrifier has also been updated and is far superior.

11/10 - Another site that I have created has been released today - www.talab.co.uk

9/10 - I've added a form that will allow me to notify people when I update one of my Applet Assistants.

6/10 - Well, I've given the site an overhaul with a new menu system that will allow be to expand the site in the near future.  Also version 1.1.5 of the Object Splitter is now up and running, this now has the option to split off a tile and paste it in the correct location on a bitmap file.  I've also corrected the size of the tile (124 px from 128) and updated the instructions with a section 7 appendium (and corrected a couple of error in the instructions)

Finally, Object Splitter (v1.1.4) is available for download.   Briefly, this program was initially designed as a T-Mog Applet-Assistant to create multi-tiled objects for The Sims, but can be used in general object production for other uses as well.  I have created an online instruction guide for using this program (I hope that its informative enough), this guide is available on this site :-)

I shall be updating Object Masker shortly, with a complete overhaul on its user interface.  This will be in preparation for an integrated program that will contain Object Splitter and Object Masker, and will allow me to add features without the need to create a brand new piece of software every time.

In the next couple of days I hope to upgrade the interface of this site, and add pop-up menus so that I can expand the site to include other items.  Unfortunately this will limit its viewing to browsers that can handle HTML 4 only (such as Internet Explorer 4.0).  If you don't have a suitable browser on your system, e-mail me (webmaster@pa-sy.com) and I will also create a site that will handle other browsers - If you don't tell me I won't know!  I apologise if any of you have any problems during the upgrade period (again e-mail me with your comments).

If you like any of my software or site and have your own site, please put a link to me on it.  I have only been up a week or so, and would appreciate the advertisement.

Also I have corrected a spelling mistake in the index column on the left (Furture instead of Future) - thanks for telling me Chris!

I've ditched the grading within the Links page as I was finding it difficult to give anybody a worthwhile grade.

10/10 - The object splitter (v 1.1.3) should be available for download on wednesday, this program will allow a user to take a graphic and split it up into 128 pixel wide tiles (the right size for a tile in the sims - I hope!!!).  Lots of the program can be used for other bits in object making, such as resizing of images, cropping to specified heights and checking that an object isn't too big.  *Watch this space*

10/10 - I have removed the script button on the download pages as it seems that my server doesn't support the script I wrote (though it works off a local drive).

9/10 - I've added a links section and link registration form, to get your own link on my listing.  Also I've made it so that 'travelled' links don't change colour.

6/10 - As you may see, I have given my site a quick overhaul to make it a bit better.

6/10 - By the request of http://jennyssimsstuff.simhomes.com i am now in the progress of thinking about creating a object splitter for big objects (rugs, tables etc...) see future developments for more information.
