RUBIK'S CUBE

ROTATE BACK

These animations originally ran at full screen resolution. Obviously, the number of frames in each and the size of each file means that is in impossible to show you how they were meant to be viewed. You would certainly get bored waiting for them to download and my 5Mb web space would soon be eaten up. But small though they are, I think that they still look pretty good all things considered. In fact the animations were pretty much redundant until the Web came along. They were created a few years back on Acorn equipment in 256 colours but most users have now upgraded to a machine comparable to a Mac or a PC. The animations can still be viewed on the newer machines but only in a letterbox mode. So for letting the rest of the world see something that was created only for the eyes of Acorn users, the World Wide Web is a very good platform.
