Van Gogh's Bedroom
The Top View

{short description of image}

As you can see, quite an unusual angle on the scene. You will probably have noticed by now that the room is wider at the foot of the bed than at the top. The bed too is wider at the bottom. I was experiencing some problems with my viewpoint and the focal length of the lens assigned to the viewing position. This was the only solution to enable me to render the normal view. As you're witness to this new angle, I think it only fair to offer some sort of explanation.

This picture of Vincent was used as a map for the picture on the wall at the unseen end of the bedroom. It was computer painted from a copy of the original painting by placing the reference source to the side of the monitor and using computer paintbrushes of differing thicknesses to achieve the end result. Scanning did not play any part in it whatsoever. It was all hand, eye and mouse coordination.
