Welcome

October/November 2009: Dear friends, my new poetry book Manna From Heaven has just been published and is raising money for The Manna Community Project in Kajiado, Kenya.

The project is affiliated to the Kajiado Children's Home which has been established for over 10 years and is situated about 70 kms from Nairobi The Manna Project is seeking to work with the community to overcome some of the problems that lead to such hardship and misery and to raise living standards and provide the very basics of life including clean water and medical care.

News

The Revd Rachel Carnegie, the Archbishop of Canterbury's Secretary for International Development, has written the following for the launch of Elaine's latest book, Manna from Heaven:

Elaine Coltham's poetry is suffused with faith, love and compassion, as she seeks God's face and finds it in the most vulnerable of our world. It is very fitting that the proceeds from her new book Manna From Heaven, will go to support projects for orphaned, destitute and disabled children in Kenya In God's eyes no one is invisible - and Elaine's poetry, scripture choices and prayers bring a compassionate vision of those suffering from the world's neglect. It reflects Christ's call on us all: 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'(Matthew 25:40)"

Elaine and her new book also featured in a recent article on the BBC website.
