After the resounding success of last year's seminars on miscarriages of justice ( available on video from peter.hill@raybrook.co.uk) The tom Sargant Memorial organisation is running another set of seminars.

The Search for Justice

This series of three seminars is designed to bring to students the experience of many of the leading lawyers who have helped correct miscarriages of justice. If you wish to learn how to avoid the terrible experience of being involved in a miscarriage of justice come to hear from those who have gone before you. Accreditation is available for these lectures.


All seminars are 6:15pm – 7:30pm in the Princeton Building, Room 24 2- 10 Princeton St. ( off Bedford Row)

Kevin Kerrigan and Sue Hirst from the University of Northumbria students project which investigated a case of miscarriage of justice, took it to the Court of Appeal and won.

Organised in memory of Tom Sargant O.B.E. by the Inns of Court School of Law in association with Prof. Naomi Sargant, Peter Hill and the Rev. Peter Timms. Funded by "Comeback" – working to improve the rehabilitation of offenders. Tom Sargant was the founding Secretary of the law reform group "Justice." He became Britain's foremost fighter against miscarriage of justice. He died in 1988.
