DO YOU SHARE MAKE-UP WITH YOUR SISTERS IN THE BAND?
Yes, all the time. In fact it's hard to keep track of who actually owns what as we are
always wearing each other's clothes. When we were younger we fought over this all the time
but now we just kind of take it for granted that we can wear what we like.
AS A FAMILY WORKING SO CLOSELY TOGETHER DO YOU SQUABBLE A LOT?
No, I'd be hard pushed to think to a time when we last had an argument. Late at night
sometimes if we've been on the go all day we can be irritable with each other but that's
about all.
DO YOU STILL GO SHOPPING FOR YOUR OWN CLOTHES?
Mostly we pick our own clothes unless we are making a video or something when someone will come with a rail of clothes for us to choose from.
DO YOU HAVE SIMILAR TASTES TO CAROLINE AND SHARON?
We have similar tastes in some things but we are quite individual. The others would wear trousers whereas I always wear skirts or dresses.
YOU'VE VAMPED UP YOUR IMAGE FOR THE NEW ALBUM. WAS THAT A CONSCIOUS DECISION TO REFLECT THE MUSIC?
I wouldn't want people to think we were all about glamour when really we are about playing good music. I think the music has changed though and we are really happy about where we are at now. I think the songs are more passionate and progressive now.
DID YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BECOME A SINGER?
No, I've been doing this since I was 15 and I still haven't actually decided that I want to be in a band it just kind of happened. Mum and dad were involved in music and we grew up with it. There was always music in our house and it was just a way of life.
SO MUCH HAS HAPPENED TO YOU VERY QUICKLY, SO WHERE DO YOU GO FROM HERE?
I try to take each day at a time and this is the way my life is and I don't know any different. It is hectic in that sometimes I will wake up somewhere like Madrid, go to work in Brussels and go to sleep in Amsterdam. However, I love my life and wouldn't change it for anything.
WHERE IS YOUR FAVOURITE PLACE?
It may sound cliched but I love Dublin. I love the feel of the city and the people. I also like New York. When we get the time, however, I love nothing better than coming home to Dundalk and spending time with the family and doing silly things like making my own breakfast.
IS THERE ANY TIME FOR ROMANCE IN THIS HECTIC LIFESTYLE?
Only in my head where there are plenty of romantic fantasies which are great inspiration for songwriting, but this is about all I have time for at the moment.
WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE, DO YOU HAVE ANY BIG ASPIRATIONS LEFT?
No, at the moment I am just living and learning and I feel very fortunate that I get to do something that I love and am very comfortable with that. I'm just enjoying life at the moment taking in new experiences and living each day at a time.
