Why is the Corrs new album Talk On Corners not available in the USA yet???
The reason that the album wasn't released in the States (until March 98) was because
the band wouldn't be able to do any promotional work for it.
They can only be in one place at any one time and decided to concentrate on Europe first,
then Australia....then move on to the USA. If it had've been released In October 97
in the States....there wouldn't be any promotion until March anyway.....so it would have
been quite pointless :) In the interests of marketing....it is much better if they are on
Radio and TV, as well as in the papers at the time of release to boost their
popularity....otherwise the album....and to an extent the band....remain quite
obscure...so the correct choice has probably been made......but I bet it doesn't feel that
way over there!! However, Americans have got copies of the album through buying it from
Internet CD companies. Check my "Buy
a Corrs CD page"!
Is there anywhere else I can find the Corrs...I mean not for their own music??
Yes there are a few other materials available...famously the Alan Parker film "The Commitments" in which Andrea had a minor role as sister to the main character. Sharon is a violinist in another band featured in the film, Jim too plays the keyboard. Unfortunately, even Caroline can't find her appearance, shes' supposedly in the audience somewhere!!
Andrea is also in the film "Evita" featuring Madonna. In the film she has a very brief appearance, being thrown out of bed by Madonna whilst playing the role of Alan Prices' mistress!!
Andrea is to be the singing voice of a Warner Bros. character in an animated movie titled "The Quest For Camelot". Set to be released in 1998, Andrea sings two of the songs in the film.
The Corrs sisters (Sharon, Andrea & Caroline) are featured singing backing vocals on Paul Brady's album "Spirits Colliding" (Check it out here) The name of the song they sing in, is "Just In Time"....and it's excellent!!
What age are the Corrs??
Depending on whenever you read this, they could be different ages, so their birthdates are:

Where are the Corrs and when are they coming back to......??
Well ahead of the band is a lot of touring and promotional work. Planned at the moment for February is a tour of Australia, they then go on to New Zealand. Before the summer (probably March) they will be visiting the USA. Personally, I expect them to return to Ireland for the summer to perform in Festivals, perhaps they will do some brief European promotional work. Then they are to return to America for an unspecified length of time. A French tour has been rumoured also, I think that will take place nearer the end of the year, if not in the summer.
