The Commonwealth Games(ast which the Corrs will perform on Sep.21st) will be broadcast all
around the world, however it is unclear at this point whether or not the bands
contribution will be shown......
The Corrs support band from their last UK tour, a band named Picturehouse are making big
noises here in Ireland with their debut single release, they are to play in Cork (Nancy
Spains) on Sep. 20th
The Corrs are MTV's Artist of the month (In Asia).
Lookout for the band on telly in the UK on VH-1 this tomorrow on a festival roundup at 9pm

Having recently opened as the support act for the legendary Rolling Stones...the Corrs are

Not only is 'Talk On Corners' Number One in the album chart BUT 'What Can
I Do' entered the singles chart at NUMBER 3 !! AND the video release is also NUMBER ONE in
the video charts....WELL DONE!!

The second CD release of WCID is out next Monday (24th) and the single is set to go
into the chart this week around Number 5 (Dreams debuted at No. 6)

Good news!!
Woolworths in the UK has predicted a Chart entry for WCID at 4!! The Belfast store
sold out of copies less than four hours of going on sale......
The live CD2 has not yet been released in Belfast....but stores are expecting it
anytime soon......

The video for the Corrs live at the Royal Albert hall has been POSTPONED from
sale at the last minute. Warner apparently took the decision but failed to send
notice to any companies. As a result the computer systems for HMV had it registered
for sale but it will now not be released until August, to co-incide with the release of
'What Can I Do' (remix)
5th July 1998 Sunday
At the Midtfyns concert tonight the original version of 'What Can I Do' was
played, not the re-mix version. Andrea was wearing a black jacket throughout the
concert which was successfully broadcast on the internet, the band commented that they
were very cold as it was raining and more like Ireland than Denmark!! (Minor changes
were made to the songs, noticeably, instrumentals with Haste to the Wedding and Toss the
Feathers.)
Earlier at Party in the Park, the band played three songs:

Talk On Corners is NUMBER ONE again!! Top spot in the UK album chart once more!!

released as a single....but by Leann Rimes instead, it is a double A-side with
'Commitment' and will be released on July 13th in the UK

'What Can I Do' is a dance version, even so....let's give it the greatest support!!
The band feature on a UK compilation album titled "Fresh Hits 98" and are one of

In the UK album charts the band have fallen from the top spot by only one
place to No. 2!
The single 'Dreams' has fallen to No. 40 in the singles chart.
The UK release date of 'What Can I Do' has been put back to 17th August.
The band were featured on Channel 5's entertainment program 'Exclusive' in a
pre-recorded interview (fairly average interview with the exception of Caroline mentioning
that they had seen the differences through the years thanks to the documentary broadcast
on Irish TV.
The concert at the 'Royal Albert Hall will be released next week!

Charity. This should include the Corrs.

Marion Collingwood informs me that the band have pre-recorded a performance for the Des
O'Connor show to be broadcast on July 15th. (I presume it is of 'What Can I Do' as that is

Talk On Corners has reached the album chart NUMBER 3!!!!!!! The band also feature on
another top 20 hit, Rod Stewarts Number 16 hit, 'Ooh La La'
the Corrs have completed their promotional tour of the UK, they are off to Italy before
starting a few dates in Germany. They feature in a few of yesterdays UK newspapers with
ad's for the 'Talk On Corners' album.
Dreams is at No.8 in the Irish charts while Talk On Corners is No. 5....thanks to Brian

The Corrs are at Number 8 in the UK album charts with Talk On Corners. All appearances
have gone well so far.
The next single release will be a re-mixed re-release of 'What Can I Do'
The lottery appearance is this Wednesday (not Saturday as earlier indicated)
Rod Stewarts' new single "Ooh la la" features the Corrs singing backing vocals,
as well asSharon on Violin, Caroline on Bodhran and Andrea playing tin whistle.
There are two confirmed concerts for the UK...in December! In Glasgow on December 10th,
and Nottingham on the 3rd of the same month.
The Corrs will perform "Dreams" live on Channel 5's Pepsi Chart Show at 8pm, on
Wednesday 20th.
The band will also play on the UK National Lottery Draw on Saturday night (16th). This is
their second appearance on the show, the last was for the promotion of "I Never Loved
You Anyway" in December 1997.
Brian Coffey tells me that the band are on UTV tonight on a program called
"Exposure" at 10.40pm.
"Dreams" is No. 6 in the UK..!!!! Well Done!! "Talk On Corners" is now
at 13...up another place on last weeks 14!!!
