The Corrs were here in Malaysia on Monday 13th of April for a short performance and meet the fans session in Tower Record, Kuala Lumpur. i thought maybe few would be present at the event cos they were virtually unknown in these parts of the world and I've only encountered their music a few weeks ago when they started promoting the Corrs on tv and on radio stations.. i was particularly impressed by their video "only when i sleep" and "i never really loved you anyway" so a couple of my friends decided to give them a try. i was suprised to see that many people packing into towers ..especially on a monday (i'm on holiday so...). already more than a dozen fans had filled the area around the stage. we had to settle for a place right behind a set of speakers which by the way was blasting out music from the Corrs' new album. it was already past 6.30 (the time they were suppose to arrive) and i was complaining.. my buddy however wasnt so pesimistic and said "the more famous they are the later they'll arrive".. so i guessed they were pretty famous. it wasn't long till they arrive, with roses in their hands they walked up to the stage and i was mesmerised.. boy did they look good! a couple of hellos and intros later, they were all set to render some of their song from the album... they started with "only when i sleep" and proceeded with "i never loved you anyway", "what can i do", "runaway" and finally an irish song which sounded a lot like "paddy mcCarty". at the end of it we were all already entranced.. they truly are talented bunch.
The signing session then took place but not before a few quetions were asked.. jim replied to a question on whether they would be back for a concert saying that they would be here in october for a full concert. on them staying together.. caroline replied cheekily with a "no" but said they still had a family home.
I got to talk to them a bit later and they also signed my cd.. so you
can say i was really pleased.. certainly no regrets going to see them.
can't wait till they come back in october.. rest assured i'll be there!
