Corr Values

Runaway success does not spare blushes

The Corrs have frequently been embarrassed by their sudden fame

Caroline says: "We were home in Dundalk for Christmas and one night I was at a disco with all my friends, and the next minute 'Runaway' came on and I just wanted to run and hide. "It is really weird. It's like the two worlds all of a sudden are united. You're at a club you've gone to for years, and all of a sudden this other part of your life comes in and just joins it."

Andrea adds: "One time, in an airport in America, I heard 'Runaway' being played in a shop. "I went up to the counter and asked out of interest what radio station was playing, and the girl said that it was a tape of chart songs that is sent round all the airports. "Then she said 'but I know who the band are, they're from Ireland and they're called the Corrs,' and I said 'Oh really'. "She didn't recognise me, and when it finally twigged I don't know whether she was more embarrassed than I was."
