A Special 'Thank You' from The Corrs
I really was shocked when Andrea rang my house on behalf of the band to thank everyone
that was involved in the FanBook. She said that they unfortunately hadn't e-mail at home
yet, but still wanted to let everyone know how much they really appreciated our FanBook
and asked me to let everyone know on the web how much they enjoyed reading it. Andrea said
that last year was very tough and that they found it very tiring, but getting such a great
reaction from the fans really made it all worthwhile. She also said that everyone involved
with the band, especially their parents and management also wanted to thank us all for the
work we put in, as Andrea said that it meant a great deal to everyone, not just to
themselves in the band. Andrea said "We must be the luckiest band in the world"
when referring to the support that they get from the fans, but I reckon us the fans are
the lucky ones to have a band that care so much about their fans. Its not often I'm stuck
for words but that was one time where I totally lost my grasp on the English language. I
probably sounded very foolish!
I myself would like to thank every single fan that helped me with The Corrs FanBook over the last few months. Aine McDonnell who's another huge fan and myself were very lucky to get the opportunity to present the FanBook to the band in person back stage after their tremendous unplugged gig in Millstreet, Ireland on June 1st The concert was part of the special Irish Famine Commemoration that was held that weekend and The Corrs were as usual just simply superb and seemed to enjoy every minute of the gig, along with everyone in the crowd I might add, as everyone had a great time.
We couldn't believe the genuine delight they seemed to get when we presented the book to them. Their reaction just made all the effort worthwhile. They were incredibly grateful and thanked us and everyone who contributed to the FanBook for the work they put in. Emma Hill who is part of The Corrs management especially thanked everyone for the great jobs that they were doing on the Internet and to keep it up! There were also pictures taken so hopefully they'll come out well and we'll post them on all The Corrs Websites if we can. Talk to you all soon!
P.S. The Corrs are still working on the album at the moment and are heading out to L.A. to start recording the second half of the album with David Foster.
